Linear Design & Construct delivered the extensive refurbishment of the Edinburgh Festival Fringe Society's new home at 6 Infirmary Street, transforming a historic former school and infirmary into a modern, flexible workspace and community hub.
Working closely with the client and wider project team, the refurbishment carefully balanced the preservation of the building's original character, retaining features such as doors, windows and flooring, while introducing upgrades to improve accessibility and functionality.
Completed ahead of the 2026 Edinburgh Fringe Festival, the project has created a future-ready environment that enhances the Fringe Society's services and provides a welcoming space for staff, artists and the wider community for years to come.
