Investors in People
We are proud to announce that we were awarded with the Bronze Accreditation from Investors in People. This places us in the top 1.6% of accredited companies, an achievement that all at Linear worked very hard for and are delighted to receive. This achievement further highlights our commitmnet to our investment in all our staff.
Procurement
The Environmental Protection (Duty of Care) Regulations 1991 places duties on Companies and Site Management to ensure the environment is not damaged as a result of their operations. Therefore the affect on the environment both during construction and after completion will be considered when planning a project. This will be discussed with the appropriate Environmental Agency where relevant.
We will endeavour to comply with any recognised environmental standard applicable to our works and not to in-advertently damage the environment through emissions, contamination etc as a result of our operations.
We also aim to use environmentally friendly designs, materials and procedures for construction hence providing our Clients with a construction that fulfils their requirements while causing the minimal impact on the environment.
The use and re-use of materials will receive constant consideration, as will the effects of utilising plant, equipment and materials on the environment.
ISO Standards
We aim to achieve ISO 9001, 14001and 18001 over the next 3 years.

Green Policy and Standards
It is the Directors’ intention to pursue a “light green” environmental policy, doing as much as we can, when we can and are particularly keen to ensure that operational standards meet all environmental regulations.
Linear understand the increasing importance of waste disposal and management. We are currently investigating the feasibility of managing and disposing of our own waste whilst complying with all regulations set out in ISO 14001.
Health & Safety
Linear Projects are striving to build on our excellent safety record to date. Working closely with the HSE and our clients we aim to create, a reputation as market leaders and an environment where all our employees are fully trained and acutely aware of our vision of zero injuries.
Training
Another reason for our success is our investment in people through training. Our constantly evolving training matrix ensures that all of our staff from MD to apprentices receive above industry standard training.
We also recognise our social responsibility towards training of apprentices and were we can focusing on local labour. We are currently working closely with all Glasgow's local development companies, CITB & Construction Skills Scotland.
Corporate & Social Responsibilities
As a business that is based on strong family values. We understand the social and economic benefits of employing local people for local jobs were possible.
We also strive to support the local communities through schools work and charitable events. In addition we are also committed to creating apprenticeships to local young people when and wherever possible.
We also recognise the environmental benefits of recruiting locally.
